this is my favorite ethiopian restaurant in the seattle area! they provide you with a large combo of meats (beef/lamb) cooked with various vegetables and a side of ricotta cheese to help ease the spices.

i've been coming here for the past 2 years and have always ordered the large combo with sambusa to start. the combo is good for 3-4 people to share and it's only $30. i would highly recommend coming here if you have a large appetite and are ready to chow down! they don't get too busy but parking spaces can be limited. they have about 7 spots in the front then there's street parking around.

if it is your first time wanting to try ethiopian food i highly recommend starting here especially with the combo plate! large portions of food that keep you full all day. they also have gluten free options for injera.

We love Ethiopian food and we are working our way through the many choices we have here in Seattle.  Right now we are just working our way through all the choices on Cherry Street.  We usually go to another place down the street and love it there but wanted to mix it up.
On the positive side, portions are large.  We ordered a vegetarian sampler and a fish stew.  Tasty but not better than our usual place.  They are very friendly and nice here but the taste profile was missing a beat.

Incredible food and very pleased. Generous amounts of food and delicious. Very nice service.  Can't wait to go back again and again. Right down to the cognac and coffee service.

The vegetarian dishes here were incredible and huge for the price. Five of us shared four entrees and were completely full; and we normally eat six or seven entrees at other Ethiopian places.

The yellow split peas were the table favorite but all dishes were wonderful. The injera was nicely flavored and they do have an all-teff version if you'd like.

The dining area was pleasant and clean. The service was very good.

So far, this is one of the top Ethiopian restaurants I've found in Seattle. I'll definitely return in between trying out all the rest.

Vegan note: there was a side dish of cheese that came with the entrees. We did not know this at the time, but best to ask they not include it to maintain a vegan meal.
